Built with a befriended premium car dealership as the first customer; the software stays with Fluxera and is licensed per device.Mit einem befreundeten Premium-Autohändler als erstem Kunden gebaut; die Software bleibt bei Fluxera und wird pro Gerät lizenziert.

What this means for you

A focused business app for one trade: image processing on the phone, AI only where it adds something, licences per device, and a dashboard that shows usage and cost per customer.Eine fokussierte Business-App für eine Branche: Bildverarbeitung auf dem Handy, KI nur dort, wo sie etwas bringt, Lizenzen pro Gerät und ein Dashboard, das Nutzung und Kosten pro Kunde zeigt.

Overview

What is CAR SHOWROOMS?

CAR SHOWROOMS turns a dealer's vehicle photos into uniform sales images. The dealer adds photos or simply the manufacturer's configurator PDF; the app pulls the renderings out of it and fills in make, model, and colour. One tap on "Finish vehicle" cuts the car out, places it in one of three showrooms, adjusts light, shadow, and floor reflection, and puts the showroom behind the windows of interior shots. On top goes the text template: make and model, specs, price, and label, in nine layouts, ten fonts, and any colour. Export is 9:16 for stories or 1:1 for posts, straight into the Photos app.

The Challenge

The problem we set out to solve.

The dealer used to have these images made by hand with a generative image model, and that showed the problem: the AI redraws the car and changes it. Nardo Grey turned brownish, British Green too saturated, missing parts were invented, and once the pre-facelift model appeared. For a premium dealer the paint is the product, so it has to stay exact. At the same time the app had to work without any explanation for someone who is not a designer, keep AI costs within a small monthly fee, and remain Fluxera's software so it can be licensed to other dealers.

Our Solution

How we built it.

An Expo app for iPhone and iPad with a native Swift module. Apple's Vision framework cuts the car out on the device, and react-native-skia draws placement, shadow, reflection, text, and export with the same code for preview and final image. There is one cloud step, and it only runs on tap: a Cloudflare Worker sends the placed scene to a Gemini image model, which adjusts light and reflections. The app aligns the result to its own vehicle mask, takes only the car and the floor band, and locks the paint back to the original in Lab colour space, with values measured from the photos rather than hard-coded. Licences are activated per device against the Worker and D1, with signed device tokens, at most three devices, and a monthly image quota. A dashboard on showroom.fluxera.us shows images, cost per call, and licences, and exports CSV for billing.

Attention to Detail

What we paid attention to.

  1. 01

    The paint is sacred

Whatever the AI returns, the paint inside the vehicle mask is pulled back to the tone of the original photo. Grey stays the same grey across every image of a car.

  2. 02

    Nothing runs by itself

Images are only generated when the dealer taps "Finish vehicle". Every call is logged with its cost, the monthly quota is enforced on the server, and finished cars are never recomputed by accident.

  3. 03

    Configurator PDF in, images out

The app reads the embedded renderings and the text of the manufacturer's PDF directly on the phone. The dealer picks up to five, and make, model, and colour are filled in.

Result

Where we are today.

CAR SHOWROOMS runs as a pilot at the first dealership through TestFlight. Version 1.0.0 is prepared for the App Store as an unlisted app, reachable only by link, and further dealers get their own licence codes from the dashboard.
